i’ve been tagged!

…by Ashley at Polka Dots and Paisley! I would like to thank her for popping my tagging cherry.

(I’ve been a bad blogger, but I’ll have at least one more post coming today, promise!)

I’m also completely thrown off by the new WordPress dashboard layout. Apparently that’s what happens when you abandon your blog for 5 days… oops.

Anyway, lets play!

The rules:
1. Link to the person that tagged you
2. Post the rules on your blog
3. Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself
4. Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs
5. Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
6. Let your tagger know when your entry is up.

And here they are! My 6 random things/quirks:

1. This is not the first time I’ve been engaged! Shocking, no? I guess it’s not entirely uncommon, now that people are getting married later. I was engaged to my college boyfriend back in the day. Unfortunately I didn’t realize how much growing up still needed to be done post-college, and that ended in a spectacularly ugly fashion, the gory details of which I am not going to post here. (But feel free to email me if you want them!)
2. I’m an unrepentant caffeine addict. I must have some form of the drug at least six days a week, or things can get ugly. I love me some Starbucks (mmm skim pumpkin spice latte) but any old coffee will do. I’ve been known to pop a few Excedrin in the absence of coffee. It’s in the name of sanity, people.
3. I’m the oldest of four kids, my parents have been happily married going on 32 years, and they still live in the same house they did when I was born. There’s no white picket fence though, and we never had a pet. 🙂
4. I never liked cats until I got one. Growing up, I wanted nothing to do with them. I always loved and wanted a dog, but cats did nothing for me. Then I was at a pet adoption event and there was this sweet little grey tabby kitten paying all sorts of attention to me… and now I have a cat. And he is fabulous and I love him.
5. Even though J and I had gone as far as to look at rings together (and wedding venues, for that matter), the proposal was a COMPLETE surprise. He had quite successfully convinced me that he didn’t have the financial flexibility to get a ring, and that he didn’t want to propose without one. I was fine with that and pretty much over it. Then on Thanksgiving, BAM! A proposal!
6. I am one take-home final and one paper away from being DONE with my grad degree! Unfortunately I am currently procrastinating on both…

Hmmm… who should I tag? Let’s go with…
Mrs. Gingerbread at Two Chicks Nest
Caroline at Tea-Length Tulle
Liz at What Liz Said
AmyJean at The Relentless Bride
Blablover5 at The Introverted Wife
aaaand… Engaged & Enraged at I Hate Planning My Wedding

Have fun!
