pretty plates

We had a crazy wedding planning weekend. On Saturday, we took J’s parents and sister (BM A) to see the wedding venue and to the restaurant we liked for the rehearsal dinner. But more on that later!

On Sunday, we spent several hours at Crate and Barrel finalizing our registry, so that I could post them on our website so that we can FINALLY send out our save the dates! We decided against registering for fine china, and instead registered for a set of everyday plates that can be dressed up for nice occasions. As soon as we got to the store, we beelined it for the dinnerware section, and narrowed our preferences down to a few sets. Then we went off and registered for other things to give us time to think it over. By the time we got back to the plates, we agreed on the lovely ivory porcelain Margo Dinnerware:

I love how they are classic and rustic, but not stuffy. I’m so excited to have a whole, nice set of plates! My last set (the WHOLE set) was $30 at Target, and now we are using a variety of plates that J collected over his years of bachelorhood. In fairness, it’s mostly from two different sets… but neither is particularly chic, and we don’t have enough of either to throw a dinner party!

  1. Ohhh I like those. Thanks again for your info about Musket Ridge. I’m so in love with that place. My fiance and I are going down April 4th to have a look. Can’t wait!

I will have to add your blog to my RSS reader to keep up with your wedding posts.

    Congrats and good luck!

  2. That’s a pretty dang good deal!
